Weeds are fast growing vegetation that will grow naturally in many areas and can spread very rapidly if left unchecked. Weeds will affect gardens and can easily turn a well-tended garden into a mess. There are many different kinds of weeds in the United Kingdom and while many are beneficial in small amounts, many others can easily become problematic. Varieties like Japanese knotweed and brambles can quickly overwhelm the plant life already present in a garden. It is crucial to keep any weeds in your garden in order as in extreme cases they could cause structural problems to the building if they are allowed to grow unchecked close to the house.

Some varieties of weeds such as Japanese knotweed have legal requirements on them because they are non-native invasive species. It is not illegal to have Japanese knotweed in your garden but you are obliged by law to keep it under control and prevent it from spreading. If you have Japanese knotweed in your garden and the local authority deems it to drastically affect the appearance of the local area then they can make you manage it.

Expert weed control companies can accurately identify the varieties of weed which is causing a problem in your garden. They can then perform an effective treatment plan which may require using chemical or organic herbicides along with installing preventative measures such as weed control fabric or mulch. The easiest way to keep weeds in order is to keep a well-maintained garden and to eliminate any weeds as quickly as you can.

Buxton is a spa town in Derbyshire. As it is on the border of the county boundary, with Cheshire towards the west and Staffordshire to the south, Buxton is frequently known as ‘The Gateway to the Peak District National Park’. Initially a municipal borough, Buxton joined other localities in 1974 to establish the local government district and borough of High Peak within the county of Derbyshire. At 300 metres above sea level, Buxton is often called England’s highest market town. Such height means that the town is often cooler than nearby places, with the daytime temperature around two degrees C lower than the temperature in Manchester. Situated on the River Wye and overlooked by Axe Edge Moor, Buxton is historically a spa town as a result of the geothermal spring that rises at a constant temperature of 28 degrees C. The water from the spring flows to St. Ann’s Well by way of a pipe system which is situated opposite the Crescent in close proximity to the centre of Buxton. Buxton reached much fame when the spa was recommended by Erasmus Darwin to Josiah Wedgwood in the latter half of the nineteenth century. The water from the geothermal spring is also bottled and sold on an international scale by Buxton Mineral Water Company. According to the 2011 Census, the resident population of the town is 22,000. The town has witnessed continuous expansion since the coming of the railway in 1863. There is also a fairly substantial student population, with the Devonshire Campus of the University of Derby being in 1 of Buxton’s historic buildings.
