Beetle infestations affect homeowners in the United Kingdom. They often affect stored food products, but can live in various areas depending on the varieties of beetle. Foodstuffs may be contaminated with beetle eggs at any stage during the life of the item, and if left undisturbed for long periods of time in your property the eggs can hatch leading to a beetle infestation. There are numerous beetle varieties in the UK and these will target different areas of your property. Carpet beetles consume carpets and other soft furnishings, while stored product beetles affect dried food in your kitchen. Most beetles aren’t hazardous, but can pass on diseases or bacteria and so any furnishings or food products that are infested may need to be removed.

The most important element to dealing with a beetle infestation is accurate identification of the species of beetle. Different beetles will need different treatment methods and you may need to focus on different parts of your property. Specialist pest control companies can identify the beetle and can then agree with you an appropriate method of taking care of these pests. This will usually include spraying insecticide or applying dust insecticide to an area. If the infestation is in a cooking area then you should be certain to utilise an insecticide that is safe for food preparation areas. Many pest control businesses also provide an education service where they’ll advise you of the likely causes of the beetle infestation and how best to stop the issue from reoccurring.

Barton-upon-Humber or Barton is a town and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. As per the 2011 Census, the town boasts a resident population of about 11066 people. It is located on the south bank of the Humber Estuary at the southern end of the Humber Bridge. It’s 46 miles (74 kilometres) east of Leeds, six miles (10 km) south-west of Hull and 31 miles (50 kilometres) north-east of the county town of Lincoln. Other nearby towns include Scunthorpe to the south-west and Grimsby towards the south-east. The Barton Cleethorpes Branch Line via Grimsby concludes at Barton-on-Humber railway station. The A15 passes to the west of the town cutting through Beacon Hill, and has a junction with the A1077 Ferriby Road to South Ferriby. The B1218 passes north-south through the town, and leads to Barton Waterside. An Anglo-Saxon inhumation cemetery at Castledyke South, used from the late 5th or early 6th century till the late 7th century, was investigated and partly excavated in 1975. The skeletal remains of 227 individuals were identified, including one person who had undergone, and survived, trepanning. The church was reopened in May 2007 as a resource for medical analysis into the development of illnesses, and ossuary, which contained the bones and skeletons of some 2750 persons whose remains had been removed between 1978 and 1984 from the 1000-year-old burial site, after the Church of England made the church redundant in 1972. The importance of the human remains is in the way they represent the pathology of an isolated group over the period of time between 950 and 1850. An excavation report on one of England’s most extensively investigated parish churches, including a volume on the human remains, was published in 2007.
