Ants are a widespread annoyance pest in the United Kingdom. While they are advantageous to the ecosystem in the garden, when they are inside properties in great numbers they can be difficult. Ants do not ordinarily pass on diseases, nevertheless they will eat or take back to their nest whatever food they can get.
