Wildlife refers to a selection of kinds of animal, from mammals like rats, mice and squirrels to other insects such as wasps and bees. Although many of these animals do not cause severe harm to homes or crops, some can cause severe harm if they are present in huge numbers. Wildlife control is an intricate procedure that can have considerable effects on the ecosystem of a location and so should only be performed carefully by qualified pros.

Most wildlife control begins with a survey of the species present in a certain area. This will give you information about which species are potentially causing problems and which may need special care to be taken throughout the pest control treatment to avoid injuring them. If there are any protected species in the location it is illegal to cause injury or death to them, and so any pest control treatment must be sensitive to this.

Wildlife control will more than likely also involve deterrence measures such as secure fencing or the removal of any food source that a pest animal may be using. These measures tend to be more humane than capturing or kiling pests, and may even be significantly more effective as eradicating pest animals may often not have a substantial impact on the population in an area.
