Wildlife describes a multitude of varieties of animal, from mammals like rats, mice and squirrels to other insects such as wasps and bees. Although many of these animals do not cause severe damage to homes or vegetation, some can cause serious harm if they’re present in large numbers. Wildlife control is an elaborate procedure that can have huge impacts on the ecosystem of a location and therefore should only be undertaken carefully by experienced specialists.

Most wildlife control will begin with a survey of the species within a certain area. This will provide you with information about which species are likely to be causing problems and which may need special care to be taken during the treatment to avoid injuring them. If there are any protected species in the location it is illegal to cause injury or death to them, and so any pest control treatment must be sensitive to this.

Wildlife control is likely to also involve deterrence measures such as secure fencing or the removal of any food source that a pest animal may be using. These measures are more humane than capturing or kiling pests, and may even be significantly more effective as eradicating pest animals may often not have a large impact on the pest population in an area.
