There are a number of different types of bees. Hardly any bees in the United Kingdom are dangerous, however some can cause a nuisance if they nest near to doors or windows. While bees are not protected, they are endangered. Bees are a critical part of the local ecosystem and so shouldn’t be relocated or eliminated unless it is completely necessary.

The most prevalent species of bee in the United Kingdom are honey bees, bumblebees and tree bumblebees. There are numerous sub species of these. All of the types can sting, although will only sting as a final resort. The various species like to nest in various areas. For instance, tree bumblebees generally nest in bird boxes or other enclosed spots in trees.

If you have a swarm or nest of bees that you need to get relocated, it’s best to contact a beekeeper who will be able to come and safely collect the bees. They may take them off to their own site, or be able to move the nest to a nearby area that is less disruptive. The British Beekeepers Association are a charity that establish standards for professional beekeepers.

Cobham is a village in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England. It is situated about 17 miles (27 km) south-west of London and ten miles (16 km) northeast of Guildford on the River Mole. Cobham covers an area of about 3.2 square miles. As outlined by the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of about 9739 individuals. Historically, Cobham comprised two separate communities, Street Cobham and Church Cobham. The former lay along the road to London, and the building now known as the Cobham Exchange was once a coaching inn. The community of Church Cobham expanded around St. Andrew’s Church, which dates back to the 12th century. Although a great deal altered and extended during the 19th century, the church preserves a Norman tower and is a Grade I listed building, which is the highest architectural category. The River Mole provides the scene for Cobham’s most renowned landmark, which is the red brick water mill. It was constructed in the latter part of the 18th century, and it was once a part of a much bigger complex. It stands on the site of earlier mills dating back to the Middle Ages. The mill continued to be in use until 1928, when it became uneconomical to continue operating. Since its closure, it has been used as a storehouse. The town offers a lot of opportunities for sport and leisure activities. Painshill Park is nearby and Silvermere golf course is situated in Redhill Road on the north side of the A3. Cobham has four football clubs: Cobham F.C., Mole Valley SCR F.C., Cobham United Football Club and Cobham Town F.C. Cobham also has a cricket club, Cobham Avorians, formed in 1928.
